Multiple Stands

The roughing rolling mill typically consists of several stands, each containing two rolls. The metal passes through each stand, reducing its thickness progressively. We offer different types of rough rolling mill stands.

Large Size

Rough rolling mills are usually large machines, capable of handling metal bars or sheets of considerable size and weight. The diameter of the roll is Ø200~Ø650. However, thanks to the advanced design, it is very convenient to maintain or replace the roll.

High Speed

Roughing rolling mills operate at high speeds, typically 30 to 50 meters per second, to ensure efficient reduction of the metal thickness.

Roughing rolling mills are built to withstand the high stresses and strains involved in the hot rolling process. They are typically made of high-grade steel and other durable materials.

The entire stand of roughing rolling mill is made of steel castings, stress-relieved, and fully machined. The roller has a long life and can roll about 3,000-4,000 tons.
