After decarburization, the carbon content on the surface and inside of the steel is inconsistent, which reduces the strength of the steel and affects its properties. Especially for steels that require high wear resistance, high elasticity and high toughness, due to decarburization, their surface hardness and performance are greatly reduced, and even waste products are produced.
The method of controlling decarburization: use a strict heating system, reasonably control the furnace temperature, and the oxidizing atmosphere in the furnace.
