What Are the Continuous Rolling Mill?

Several stands of a continuous rolling mill are arranged in a row according to the rolling direction. And the steel billet is rolled and deformed in several stands at the same time. The rolling speed of each stand increases according to the length of the billet, and keeps the metal at the second flow in the frame rolling stock is equal or has a slight pile-pull relationship. This type of rolling mill is a modern rolling mill with high productivity. This type of mill is often used in billet mills, hot strip mills, mini mills, wire rod mills and cold strip mills.

The continuous rolling mill has a high degree of mechanization and automation, and the rolling speed of its finished products is also high. For example, the exit speed of the non-twist continuous wire rod rolling mill has reached 130m/s.

What Is Split Rolling?

Slitting rolling means that in the rolling process, the billet is rolled into two or more parallel parts with the same cross-sectional shape through the pass design. Then the billet is longitudinally divided into two or more sections by the slitting equipment. The rolling process of the same shape is continuous until we got the finished products.
