About some auxiliary equipment of rolling production line

Today we will introduce to you some common auxiliary equipment in rolling production line.

Rolling mills can use several types of shears to cut the rolled product as it rolls, leave the finishing stand, and cold shear before stacking or bundling.

Depending on the product shape and material grade, scissors can be used to cut the front of the bar as it passes through the mill. These are usually flying shears. During the cutting process, the blades of this shearing machine move parallel to the bar.

In multi-strand rolling of rebar, shears are required in the rolling mill to provide a clean front end of the rebar to avoid pebbles on the slitter.

Cooling Bed - The cooling bed is the part of the rolling mill located at the end of the rolling mill.

A cooling bed is a device that cools rolled products and simultaneously transfers them piece by piece to a roller table where they are transported to the finishing section. It supports and allows the cooling of the hot rolled product in the last stand of the mill.

The cooling bed naturally cools the material and cross-transfer to the discharge end. In the cooling bed, the temperature of the entire bar length is cooled simultaneously. If not, it creates stress in the rebar.

The rolled bar slides onto the first notch on the rake as it enters the cooling bed. The initial notch provides continuous support for the bar on the casting called a grid casting.

Long plates with grooves are spaced apart to support the rods after they extend beyond the grid casting. Under the action of the eccentric cam, the bar is moved on the cooling bed by the movement of the alternating plates in the lifting, moving and retracting cycle.

Repeating this cycle moves the bar as it exits the mill. The length of the cooling bed is determined by the maximum runout bar length and optimized by the sale length to minimize crop loss.

Walking rake cooling beds are used in modern long product mills.

The purpose of the cooling bed of the movable rake design is to provide uniform air cooling of the rolled bar or light profile and to convey it in stages from the inlet of the cooling bed to the outlet side. Active rake cooling beds are usually of a walking beam design. This mechanism ensures that the rod and light section are positioned evenly on the toothed rake.

The design of the cooling bed usually takes into account the minimum and maximum dimensions of the bars and lightweight sections delivered from the finishing stands of the rolling mill, as well as the cooling time required for the various sizes of bars and lightweight sections. Rake cooling bed designs depend on bars pre-cut to a given length to slow them down,

Straighteners - Straighteners are used to bring rolled products to a certain straightness. Various types of straighteners are used, and they are roughly divided into three groups.

They are cross-roll straighteners, section straighteners and stretch straighteners.

This classification is based on the basic principles on which they operate. In the first two types of straighteners, the rolled product passes through a set of staggered rolls, creating a counter-kinematic load of the rolled product, resulting in a redistribution of plastic strains that ensure the desired straightening.

Stacking and strapping machines. After cooling, the rolled bars/profiles are usually straightened in roll straighteners and cut to length for sale by cold shears, which are then stacked or bundled. In the case of the stacking angle, they are stacked in a two-down, one-up arrangement.

That's what we share today, hope it helps you. Welcome to Luoyang Judian to learn more about rolling mills.
