The blooming slabs are mainly supplied to hot rolling mills as raw materials, and the rolled billets are mainly supplied to high-speed wire rod mills as raw materials. Due to the advanced nature of continuous casting slabs, the demand for blooming slabs has been greatly reduced, so they have turned to the other products mentioned above.
The continuous casting slab or the blooming slab are used as raw materials, heated in a walking furnace, descaled by high-pressure water, and sent to a rough rolling mill.
The rough rolling stock is cut to the head and tail, and then sent to the finishing mill for computer-controlled rolling. After the final rolling, it is cooled by laminar flow.
The processed billets are processed by multiple passes of straightening, leveling and other finishing lines, and then cut into plates or re-coiled to become hot-rolled steel sheets, flat hot-rolled steel coils, slitting strips and other products.
