LYJD flying shear is a high-speed cutting tool designed for metal rolling and processing lines. It can perform precise and continuous shearing of moving billets, strips, bars or coils without interrupting the material flow.
Unlike traditional stop-motion shearing systems, this equipment provides a more efficient solution by synchronizing the cutting action with the material feed speed. It is suitable for hot and cold rolling applications, minimizing burr formation, cutting clean edges, and reducing thermal deformation.
LYJD’s flying shear system is modular in design, rugged and durable, and can adapt to various industrial conditions.

Application

Flying shears are widely used in the following scenarios:
Hot rolling mills: for cutting hot rolled metal strips, billets or blooms. Cold rolling lines: for precision trimming and length control of cold worked strips.

The flying shear is a precision-engineered device designed for continuous high-speed metal cutting operations. Its complete structure includes:
Mechanical system Upper and lower circular blades: high-speed rotating blades mounted on solid shafts for synchronous shearing.
Main frame: sturdy steel welded structure to withstand dynamic loads and vibrations during high-speed cutting.
Blade shaft sleeve: precision-machined housing with self-aligning bearings to ensure low friction and high rotational stability.
Blade lifting and adjustment mechanism: manual or automatic adjustment of blade gap to adapt to different material thicknesses.
